Autism Support Center (Kenya) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the social and economic lives of those living in the autism spectrum in Kenya.
The organization provides access to education, therapy, job opportunities, assessment and mentoring for families impacted by autism and other special needs.
Sara Jamal, co-founder and director of Autism Support Center (Kenya), recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to prepare the organization’s new therapy clinic for its official opening on April 1st:
“After a long and grueling search we have been given an amazing space to open a fully operating therapy center that can offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy behavior therapy, among other beneficial activities.
“The centre’s mission to become self sustaining and maintain a free mobile therapy clinic that will travel into the rural areas and slums of the country to reach those that could never access the few resources that Nairobi has to offer. In order for us to get this center up and running, we need to raise funds to furnish this massive space with furniture and resources.”
